Yesterday was a day of me ‘getting’ that what we require is to be or have ‘It All’ we need to ask for help to do this. We are not here to manage on our own. There are no brownie points or martyrdom sweet enough that surpass the feeling of truly being able to achieve that which is most meaningful to us. It is ok to ‘out-source’ that which feels overwhelming to allow you to do that which brings you the most joy, health, happiness, love and money in the world!!!
What brings you the most sweetest sense of success? What makes you feel like a hundred million billion dollars? What makes you feel ‘yes I am so happy to be alive. Life is good and all is well?’
Life is meant to be a joy. It is not meant to be a series of struggle experiences that leave you overwhelmed, unhappy and demoralised.
Once you have answered this questions above. The next question is ‘how do I achieve this?’
Now the ‘how do I achieve this?’ is asked with a flavour of true willingness to ‘know’ the answer and not an undercurrent of disbelief!!!
You will be amazed at what answers ‘pop’ into your mind as a result!!!
For example I was chatting with a colleague yesterday about balancing work and family life. This client was taking a huge leap up in her business. But she had little support in the care of her children outside of school hours. Her limitation she felt was not getting a full day to focus on her ‘big leap’ to get it all moving whilst keeping her business as it is ticking over nicely. This ‘big leap’ was imperative for the growth and expansion of her business and it’s ultimate ability to support her family. So it was a step that was to benefit all. So what my client really needed and what was to make her the most happy was take this ‘big leap’ for overall the benefit to her family for the long term support and care of her family was immense. But the day-to-day running of the day were keeping her locked down and held-back. Was she frustrated and upset? How about, YES!!!
So we asked the questions above and asked ‘how?’. The answer to ‘how?’ was not the methodology to take the ‘big leap’ it was gaining the help and support with the care of the children to give her the chance to focus on and do what was required to take her ‘big leap’. So we came up with an ‘childcare’ plan for the short-term (a good month) that would free her up 3 full-days a week to allow her the freedom to focus on all that needed to be done to take her ‘big leap’ successfully.
Once the questions had been answered my client was back on track feeling safe, secure, in-control and back to being the master of her reality!!! She was back to her empowered self and ready to take on the world.
Use the same process when you are faced with a challenge that in the short term you can’t see the solution. The solution is always there. It sometimes is not what you expect (for my client did not expect to be seeking support with her children to gain her business success, but the solution was ‘perfect’!)
She emailed me later in the day yesterday to say she had discussed the ‘childcare’ plan with the children and they had agreed it would be a good idea for they had noticed how grumpy she had been and were pleased at the welcome relief from this!!! Perfect!!! Win-win!!!
Take the time to:
• Sit back when faced with a challenge, pick up the phone and call us or a friend who you can ‘talk stuff through’ with.
• Ask the first question ‘What is going to make me feel really happy here?’
• Once you answer that, ask ‘How do I achieve this?’
Simple steps, with profound results.

It has been a week since I launched into 'Thinking Ourselves Thin' seminar. The skills and abilities gained were centred around using the power and strength of our thoughts to create a balanced, harmonised and serene experience with food, weight and life.
